Exporting exam grades and importing them to upgrade
In order to quickly transfer the grades from Moodle to Upgrade, you must perform the following actions:
1. On the course site, go to the "Grades" tab
2. In the rectangle under the heading on the left, select the "Export" option (last row)
3. Select Export as "Excel spreadsheet" (third row).
4. You can export the data for all or some of the grade components. Select the components you wish to export.
5. Click "Download" at the bottom of the screen.
6. The Excel file is saved on your computer. Locate it and open it.
7. At this point, you can delete all irrelevant columns. Leave the ID card column and the grades column that you want to import to Upgrade.
8. Enter the Upgrade system and log in.
9. Loading a course will be done when the title in the UpGrade system is: Import to course - course number.
10. In the left menu, click on the number and the name of the course, this line will turn blue.
11. The first line of the Excel file is considered the title. Please note, in this case the column names are important, column name = task name.
12. When loading a course, grades can be loaded for several tasks, if the task name does not exist in the system - the system will create this task with the loaded grades.
13. First column - ID number, second column - task name #1, third column - task name #2, etc...
Notes:
If the task already exists in the Upgrade - the new grades in the file will overwrite the old grades that exist in the Upgrade for this task. For example: If there is no grade in the file imported from Moodle and there was a grade in the Upgrade system, the grade will be reset according to what was written in the Moodle file.
If there are fewer students in the Moodle list than in the Upgrade (for example, not all were tested) - the grades will only be recorded for the students who are in the file.
If there are more students in the Moodle list than there are in the Upgrade (for example, free listeners or students of another semester), the grades will only be recorded for students who are registered in the Upgrade system, and those who are not registered for the course will be displayed in the list of incorrect entries.
